55We need some real heroes
Recent news has reported the death of an abortion doctor over the death of an army officer. Both were killed at the hands of extremist, hate-filled, criminals-however, the media chose to celebrate and mourn the life of the abortion doctor and chose to ignore the military officer. The media is the voice for America and is doing a poor job in expressing our views and shaping our ideals. A great opportunity was missed to honor the brave profession of our military, and instead the media focused on abortion issues. This issue is a loser for inspiring America as more people are proclaiming their pro-life attitudes.
That just goes to show which is a priority for the media. Shameful! I wonder do they realize it or do they care.

I personally oppose abortion. I just want the government totally out of it since even if you get rid of all the abortion doctors there will still be abortions. It would be better to spend the money to educate women about the alternatives.
Did you know that Christ believed in separation of church and state? He said his kingdom was not of this world, and he told Peter to put away his sword. That is why the statist religion of the dominionist Sarah Palin is so very diabolical and opposed to the commandment of Christ.
Countries have the right to defend their borders, nothing more. Anything more is stealing and murder.
I certainly agree with you on this issue. Way too much time is wasted debating abortions, thanks to the religious zealots who want to mandate morality. And you are correct that the media seems, at times, to only stir the dirt up more by sensationalizing the hatred and violence associated with the wrong issues that do not belong in politics in the first place. Like the gay marriage thing. This is not a governmental issue, except to enforce the laws that govern equal rights for all citizens. Who people choose to love and spend their lives with is no more a political issue than abortion. Religion and their backward beliefs has no place in politics. This is the very reason for the separation of church and state in the first place.
Well soldiers get killed all the time. I think they were probably just reporting the abortion doctors death over the other one because it's a much rarer occurrence and thus more newsworthy.

I agree with you the issue of who are our heroes is often left out from the news. The abortion doctor got more coverage because abortion and pro-life are both being supported by extremist. Heroes just do the right thing and are supported by the common man.
